Note how Zachariah (the father of John the Baptist) praises God for fulfilling an old promise (oath/covenant) that "we...should serve him (God) without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life." SALVATION IS HAVING JESUS ,WHO WILL SAVE US FROM DEATH ETERNAL.WE GET SAVED BY ACCEPTING JESUS INTO OUR LIFE.

What do people think about John the Baptist even before he is born? Note: Sometimes a big introduction is given for a person who then introduces someone even more important. Luke is announcing the announcer of Jesus. THEY THINK OF THE CHILD AS SPECIAL,NOT JUST ANOTHER CHILD,THE HAND OF GOD WAS WITH THIS CHILD.
