How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?

We get closer to Him by listening to him and doing what he commands us to do and thus we grow stronger in our relationship. The more we commune with him, the more we get to know the plans and purpose of our lives. This implies that our level of intmacy depends on how much we obey his commands and do his will. He is forever faithful to keep his word and whatever he has promised only if we live according to his standards.

Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1.

At this point Jesus was human, he had been through so much torture. there are times when we feel that the world is closing in on us but we must remember God has a purpose for us just like he did for his son. The outcome of his sacrifice is worth so much more, it cannot be compared to the suffering he went through.
