How come the unbelief of His countrymen prevented Jesus from performing many mighty works among them?

Because Jesus knew that even with his mighty works among them, they would not believe. And because it was like a prophecy that he was not going to be honor in his own country.

At the end of the world, how will the angels tell the wicked from the righteous?

The angels will separate wicked from righteous, a balance of their deeds will be done, and then the angels with throw the wicked to the fire of hell. Like separating good fish from those not good anymore.And will take the righteous to heaven for an everlasting joy in the love and worship of God.

What is there about the Kingdom of Heaven that makes it worth forsaking everything else to obtain it?

The Kingdom of Heaven is worth forsaking everything else to obtain it because by living in grace and in the will of God, which is how the Kingdom of heaven is establish on earth, you get the highest rewards that earthly things can not give you, for instance, peace, joy, real purpose, pursuing true happiness, living a life of deep meaning. Things that does not have short lasting but eternal things, with which we trascend and get eternity.
