I think that what made the woman's faith so powerful was that she took inmediate action, taking the first step to get close to Jesus and touch his garments, an by believing that Jesus was able to do what she expected out of him, by believing in Jesus power without a tiny bit of hesitation. It is a gift, but we can get a powerful faith if we ask for it in prayer.

How is Jesus` teaching like fresh wine requiring fresh wineskins? If one is born new, you can not keep doing darkness, wordly things. It does not match with a christian life. Fresh wine, a refresh spirit can not mix any more with our old nature, are bad customs and habits.

Why did Jesus choose Matthew, a known taxgatherer and a despised man, to be His disciple? Jesus choose Matthew precisely because he was a taxgatherer and a despised man, in other words: "a sinner", Matthew was the perfect candidate to be a disciple of Jesus, because Matthew needed conversion, repentance, and the guidance of Jesus. Jesus came to make sinners his followers, as Matthew. -Not the righteous ones-, because there is not even one.
