Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town? Jesus came to this world to be our brother and saviour. In order to save us he was crucified, died and buried. Our Heavenly Father sacrificed his only son for our sake as it was written in the scriptures.
