Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable? He was angry because the subjects would not honor the king with their presence. It showed there was no love for him. The same is with God's Kingdom, it is availabe to everyone but there are people who reject his presence and teachings. You cannot force people to believe or to love, it has to come from their heart within.

Why was the Kingdom of God taken away from the chief priests and Pharisees? They were more interested in prosperity and greed rather than the words of God. They wanted their material wealth rather than spiritual strength and wealth.
