33570 entries for this category: Why was the Kingdom of God taken away from the chief priests and Pharisees? It was an honor to be given the responsability to lead the people in the right direction (To God), but the chief priests and pharisees did not do this. Instead they put weights around the peoples neck with man made regulations and the same thing is going on today in churches being used for nothing more than monetary profit for personal gain. Today guilt is a tool used by so-called ministers of the word! We all must form a personal relationship with Jesus, repent, read the bible for ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit to help us understand and discern what is right and what is wrong. There are still a lot of ravenous wolves out there pretending to be disciples of Jesus and there are some good ones too! But we need Jesus to let us know through the Holy Spirit which ones are real!God plan will not be thwarted. The devil has already been defeated, but a lot of folks still don't know that.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable? The king was angry because he sent out many servants (prophets) and they were rejected and killed. I believe Jesus is saying everyone has the oppotunity to come to the banquet (repent of sins and be born again) but few will be chosen because of their unbelief and disobiedience to God.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable? The King made a feast for those that were invited so he had to invite others to that it wouldn't go to waste. Jesus was illustrating how He has made salvation free ti recieve but many would not take his offer.
