Why did Jesus repeat this miracle, here feeding the 4000, after previously feeding the 5000? His passion and love for mankind and also to reward them for staying with Him. Their faith was so great that they were willing to follow him until their death. They knew Jesus would provide for them.

Why did Jesus take just Peter, James and John with Him to witness his transfiguration? These men made up an inner circle, not of Jesus' favorites, but of those who possibly were more spiritually attuned and teachable. James died early. God is no respecter of persons.
