Why did Jesus take just Peter, James and John with Him to witness his transfiguration? Jesus took Peter, James and John with Him as they were closetest to Him and He knew they would testify to His words. Blessings.

Why did Jesus take just Peter, James and John with Him to witness his transfiguration? Jesus took them so that they could be witness as to what had happened and to increase their faith and trust in him. Jesus was also very close to them and wanted them to know everything so that they could spread the word of God to others.
