Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus? Peter was still thinking in milateristic terms. (WORLDLY NOT THE THINGS OF GOD) He didn't understand yet the exact nature of why Jesus came here in the first place and that his death and ressurection would save all who believe in him.
