Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him? To follow Jesus, both the scribe and the disciple needed to do so unconditionally. Jesus knew that they were not seeking to follow him without easily leaving their lives behind.
