Touching the man with leprosy would probably show us that Jesus was not ashamed or afraid to touch his wounds, it is a way to connect with a person. Jesus knew that like the woman with the issue of blood when He touched the man healing would go directly to him. The man had faith and along with the touch of the Master's hand, his faith healed him. I think Jesus was touched by the determination of the man, because the crowd was so thick his friends lowered him from the roof to reach Jesus. So it was his faith that caused Jesus to forgive first and then heal him. We are called to forgive others who wrong us before we ask for God's forgiveness or healing. God is a forgiving God, He is worthy of our praise. Why did Jesus heal by touching the man with leprosy (a contageous disease)?
