What is the Kingdom of God?

I believe that the kingdom of God is fulfilled through Jesus.  Jesus was from the beginning and with Jesus' birth, death and resurrection the Kingdom is right at our hearts door.  Jesus explained how to be eligible and accepted to receive or to be a part of the kingdom of God.  Jesus came down from the Kingdom, took off His kingship and put on humanity to teach His disciples and all believers that there is a Kingdom of God and it has been fulfilled.  He has given His disciples the knowledge of the Kingdom of God to spread across the world to prepare us. When Herod asked Him if He was a king, He said, My kingdom is not of this world.  Therefore the Kingdom of God in heavenly, it is the place where Jesus went to prepare for us.  It is where God rules, where He looks down from on us, where He surveys what he has created, what is good and what is bad and where He decides how to free His beloved people who believe in Him and His mighty works.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Yes He does, they are very valuable. When you read Jesus' teachings and He talks about the persons who are poor, marginalize, those who are mistreated and are ignored it is quite obvious that they are treasured by Jesus.  The widow who put in all she had, she gave more than the wealthy.  Lowly people are more appreciative of Jesus, they depend on Him because there is no one else who understands and cares, no one who will take the time to love and deliver them.  He is not in the world of me, myself and I, or in the fast lane, He patiently listens and delivers. My brothers and sisters who are lowly we are valuable to Jesus and even much more so as long as we follow His commands.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
Jesus' penalty for sin included physical and emotional pain because as humans the sins that we commit daily is deserving of both physical and emotional cleansing.  Jesus had to suffer in both these ways to completely prepare those of us who put our trust and belief in Him as our only way by which we can obtain forgiveness and a place in the heavenly home which He has prepared for all believers.  He came in human form, He experienced temptation, disbelief, lack of love, betrayal, pain, hurt, death, all the facets of being human and He had to completely rid himself and us of all these burdensome ills.  He suffered and died so that we can be freed from sin. Thank you Jesus and forgive us. Amen.
