"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

Jesus fulfilled all the accomplishment.

God demonstrated His love for us by sending His only son Jesus Christ into the world to die for us sinners and to save the world from sin that all who believe in Him should not perish.

Jesus proclaim the Good News that He will save us, whoever call upon His name shall be saved, if you repent, confess and ask for forgiveness you can overcome any hurdles  in your way. He never promise us a life without pain or troubles, He never promise it would be easy, but He promised as a born-again believer there is a life of joy and peace in the end. He said weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Jesus was sacrificed for us. He gave His life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28)  What have we sacrificed or can we sacrifice for Him? It is hard for us to give up things that we cherish but a life in Christ is worth more than worldly things. Jesus blood was shed for us, His body broken for us. Matthew Chp. 26:26-28 says, while they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, "take and eat; this is my body. Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (NIV) This is done during the Lord's Supper where we use bread or wafer as a symbol of His body and wine as a symbol of His blood that was shed for us.

Jesus is the source of abundant life because He came to earth to heal the sick, the broken-hearted and to preach the gospel to all and to give new life to those who accept Him as their own personal Savior. He went about doing good even though He was rejected in His hometown.

Jesus preached the Gospel of repentance so we would understand the Kingdom of God. There is a kingdom in each of us if we trust God, witness to others about Him, encourage others to seek Him, to love Him and to serve Him. The free gift of forgiveness and eternal life is promised to all who accept the invitation to come to Christ and to partake of the cleansing water of life.

Jesus accomplished all His purposes because He loved us and the last thing He said on the cross was "It is finished." We are called to be obedient servants of God.

Now is the accepted time, we must be prepared to meet Jesus when He appears on earth once more. We must repent or we will perish.

How do Jesus` words make you feel? You may want to save your answer as "Private"

Jesus words make me examine my life, take an in-depth look at who I am and where I am in my spiritual life. It sometimes scares me and bring tears to my eyes when I listen to a sermon or read the Bible about the suffering Jesus went through for me and to know His grace and mercy brought me through to this very day. His words are so powerful, yet because He is a forgiving God we sometimes take things for granted and go in our comfort zone. Jesus promises are secure, so I trust in His promise that He will never leave me nor forsake me, because of all this I have given my life to Him, the one thing I need to do now, is to be baptised by water. I love the Lord with all my heart, He is my friend.

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

Jesus accomplished all these purposes.

To Demonstrate God's love: We who believe in Jesus will not die, we will go to the place that Jesus has prepared for us.

To bring good news: He has indeed brought good news, He has performed so many miraculous things and the knowledge that God will save us is a blessing to be received in His time.

To sacrifice Himself on the cross: This He did certainly accomplish and although it  made us sad we are grateful for the sacrifice that He made for us out of pure love.

To be a source of abundant life: Without Him we would be doomed.  No hope of ever having abundant life with Him in heaven.

To help people understand the kingdom of God: Imagine if He didn't come to teach us the good news of the kingdom of God we would all be lost.  Although the Old testament lays the foundation for the teaching and events found in the New Testament, Jesus' teaching is about grace, love, peace, joy, and hope to name a few. He came to open or re-enforce our heart to the love of God, to teach us how important it is to love God, to love each other, the do's and don't's of kingdom entry.

Yes our Jesus fulfilled all these purposes listed in this lesson without which our eyes and heart would not be opened to ask and receive forgiveness and acceptance. He teaches us what we need for eternal life and godly living.
