The king was angry because he had prepared a feast with the finest foods and drinks, and was longing for his invitees to share in this weeding banquet. Jesus was making the point, in telling us that He preparing a place in Heaven for all those who recieve His invitation and those who believe in Him. In the parable it also tells us of those who are told the Word and refuse to receive it.
