1547 entries for this category: The Pharisees could not tell the difference between the works of the Holy Spirit and the works of evil spirits, when Jesus cast out demons. Jesus also explain to them that Satan could not cast out Satan from a person. (evil casting out evil). It takes a more powerful souce, the Holy Spirit, to remove such demonic things. Jesus did not want to be made know because everything he was doing was out of love and to fulfill the scriptures. Also he did not want to be sen as boasting about his work. What did the Pharisees say against the Holy Spirit and why was it such a serious offense?

What was Jesus trying to teach people when He deliberately violated the Sabbath in order to heal people? Jesus teaches us to be compassionate to each other. The saving of mankind is far more important than to live by a set of laws established in a Church/Temple. A human soul is valuable, and if a standard/rule set in a church is violated and is contary to saving someones soul, the rule becomes insignificant to the Kingdom of God. Jesus wants us to save the lost not the laws.
