I delight in serving God, communicating effectively with those who serve Him and those who want to know Him. This tells me that I am able to do all things in Christ who strengthens me. I should continue with God's help and assurance, on this path I have started. Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Jesus had to suffer and die so as to save us from our sins. He had to pay the ultimate price for us

Why is giving in secret more to be commended that giving where people can see it? With the exception of Charitable organizations, who may make known to the public on the how and who of their resources, one and one, Jesus ask that this be done as in secret. As I understand, this means we help without givng ourselves a "pat on the back". When God blesses us, we testify to others, but it is written in the word that we not reward ourselves for doing good deeds to others. God rewards us which is sufficient. We ought not to apply this to our daily living. it is not of God, and there is no reward for this practise.
