Why was all of Jerusalem troubled about the birth of Jesus? We knew why king Herod wanted Jesus killed, because he through this throne would taking away from him. They were troubled about the birth of Jesus because He would bring about change,they all will have to change there live styles the way worship and what they worship. Jesus represented the new covent with God were all that beliveth in Him will be saved which was written by the prophets.

Why did God choose such a unique way (through a virgin birth) to bring Jesus into the world? God's purpose is to let mankind know that anything is possible, but I believe God chose Mary as she was a woman without spot or blemish, a woman untouched by man, and God wanted this Holy birth conceived in pureness. I believe the Divine being, Jesus Christ was carefully planned by Our God. He knew who He wanted and why He chose Mary: Because of she was spotless.
