1547 entries for this category: "Giving in secret" to God is a personal thing. With God, in secret is having that connection and He sees that you are giving out of love, and not to be noticed. To me I find it a blessing to do godly things in secret, instead of in the open where people can see, it limits me from boasting. What makes it so difficult is that our natural human instincts is to dislike those who mistreat us. When we love our enemies we overcome this natural part of us and are thus living by God's standards Why is giving in secret more to be commended that giving where people can see it?
