1581 entries for this category: How does Jesus` answer to the robber make you feel? "Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise." I feel surprised, touched and affectionate. A robber who was condemned with crucifixion must have been a vital criminal. But he could also be saved just because he confessed his crimes and sins and asked Jesus by faith for forgiveness and acceptance. This event tells me that just through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ can we be saved no matter how sinful we are. And we are saved only through faith by God's grace instead of any of our good deeds because we are in no way "good" or "kind" and we are just miserable sinners.

Bonus question: Why was the veil torn in two? "The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two" In antient times, people tore their clothes to show their anger or grieves. For example, the high priest violently parted his robes to accuse Jesus. Jesus' death was unrighteous so God was angry and grieved about that. I guess so.

When Jesus "breathed his last" and was pronounced dead; why did The Roman centurion glorify god? Because the vision when Jesus died was different from that when others. Apparently, there were miracles around the time of Jesus' death, such as the darkness during the daytime, the tearing of the veil of the temple. These things were surely not done by humans but by God. Only righteous man's death could cause such unusual events.
