Judas was one of the 12 men closest to Jesus. Why would Judas betray Jesus? The greed for money made Judas betray Jesus. Though he was close to Jesus, he didn't accept Jesus' words. Money was more practical for him. But I'm not sure whether Judas knew Jesus would be put to death if delivered to the chief priests. Judas might not have delivered Jesus if he had known the result. But still Judas was greedy for money, which sooner or later would lead him astray.

What is meant by the "end of the age" in Luke 21:5-38? The end of the age, I suppose, is the Day of Judge. Just like the final examination, each one must deliver his/her paper, which will be fairly judged by the Lord.
