What was in Jesus` heart that made him weep as he looked down on Jerusalem?
That in Jesus' heart that made him weep was that Jesus knew the coming disaster to Jerusalem, a city which would soon meet a brute slaugter, an exhaustive plunder and a complete ruin, and an utmost humiliation, and that on the other hand, the people relied on the city knew nothing about the coming disaster, they were so ignorant and proud of the city and themselves and even regarded the city as their permanent harbor. They had been far away from God while they thought of themselves as inside of God. They were cheated by themselves and so alertless, which was really the disaster...

How would you respond if Jesus asked you, "What do you want me to do?"
Lord, that I may be closer to you, without any doubt, hesitation or struggle, that I may have no worries, no concerns, no fears and no heavy burdens, and that I may be a joyful maid of yours.

Why was Zaccheaus so joyful when Jesus asked to stay at his house?
Because that means Jesus pleasantly accepted him and exalted him. Zaccheaus acknowledged himself a sinner and that he was hated and rejected by the folk. However, he was eager to see and get close to Jesus because Jesus was recognized as a Rabi, and also for he was short, he humbly moved back and avoided to squeeze in the crowd who were thought of "less sinful" than him and climbed up to a sycamore just to see Jesus. Jesus looks at people differently than anyone else. The way he treats us sinners is not to convict to death or hopeless end but to summon us to life and pleasant home. He sometimes punishes us but he is not to ruin us but to rebuild us. His punishment is not a hurt or an attack but a teach and a guide. That Jesus asked to stay at Zaccheaus' house means Jesus has found Zaccheaus, the lost, and pleasantly welcome him home. That was why Zaccheaus was so joyful.
