1581 entries for this category: I learnt that Jesus grew up in a village an idea which had never crossed my mind before.I also learnt that red meat was served on special occassions and pork was absolutely forbiddden.I am surprised by the humble upbringing of Jesus.His earthly Father was a carpenter which qualified them for a middle class position.Also its to my surprise that Mary conceived Jesus whist she was a teenager and that her marriage to joseph was an arranged one by her parents. GLORY BE TO THE FATHER;SON AND HOLY SPIRIT. According to Jesus,what does it mean to be loved by God. God loved us by giving his only begotten son that whoever confess that Jesus is his or her personal saviour and Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead shall be saved.Romans 10 v 9-11.God gave us a loving Jesus who is ready to come into our lives the moment we draw nigh unto him.Once we obey his word and commandments we become his sheep and he hears our voice in prayer .He also come to live with us,in us and we cease to be the ones who live but him who live in us.The moment this happens (his presence in us) all our life situations are resurrected and we receive protection in turn ,abundance,angels take charge of our lives Psalms 91v11,saved and have eternal life.In a nutshell i can sum up by saying to be loved is to have priceless heavenly abundance by simply saying "YES" to JESUS .

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you? Ilearnt that Jesus grew up in a village a think i had not thought about.Iam surprised by the humble upbringing of Jesus.His earthly father was acarpenter which only qualified him and family to be middle income earners.I am surprised by the age of Mary when she conceived Jesus.I am also surprised that her marriage was an arranged one by her parents.
