Why did Jesuspenalty for "sin"need to include physical and emotional pain-why not just spiritua lseparation from God? As we know Jesus was born from the virjin Mary and He lived in this world as a human being,He had to suffer like a human being physically as well as emotionally.He is the only begotten son of God He had to separate spiritually from His Father for a few moment in the Cross.
