Why did Jesus say, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God"? Jesus wanted to convey to the man that if one desires to follow Him or God, personal interests will have to be sacrificed and instructions of the God will have to immediately followed.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you? jesus was born n lived with a very conserved enviornment where women were treated as second class citizen, which was later proved contradictory with his birth. also the trend and importance of sabbath and passover in one's spiritual life has been signified.
