Why is this old man Simeon so excited to meet this baby Jesus? Because Simeon was a righteous man and he had the divine spirit with which he could look as to who could save Israel. He was excited as he knew that the Jesus has born.

Why is this old man Simeon so excited to meet this baby Jesus? Simeon was a righteous man and he had the holy spirit in him,where by he was looking who was to save isreal.hence he was happy of Jesus's born.The fact that he was aware of what was going to happen, he was therefore, waiting to see him and then he was full of happiness .
