What did Jesus imply by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many."? Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread. Jesus implied by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many." is that his blood will be shed on the cross for forgiving all the sins of the people like a sacrificial offering(lamb) in the pass over festival..
