Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"? If you go after material things, just to make sure that this life is good, will lose everything after death. But if you give up certain things in life and devote yourself to living a true christian life, you will gain evertthing in heaven

What is "the Christ"? How is it different than one of the prophets? The Christ means the messiah - the one who has come to save us. He is not just a prophet who told people how to behave (like the Muslims believe) but a true messiah - the Son of God.
