Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?

Jesus fulfilled every prophesy.Through His message of love and forgiveness, He reach out to every man.He saved the humanity from being lost in sin. He freed every man from the bondage of sin.He sacrificed Himself on the cross to show His love for His people.During His three years of ministry: He healed the sick;He gave sight to the blind; He gave life to the dead;He brought together, the rich and the poor, the big and the small, friends and enemies, and made them one as God`s people.He used His three years of minstry teaching people about the Kingdom of God.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him? a New commandment?

Unless, we obey Jesus and followed Him faithfully, we cannot get close to Him.To know Him more intimately, we should constantly be carrying our own cross and following Him every day.If we love Jesus, we should first obey His commandments and in return, we will be loved by the Father and Jesus Himself.If we want to have Jesus in our lives, we should first open ourselves to Him and only then, He will come to us and abide in us.He is the stem and we are the branches; so unless we remain in Him, we are not a part of His body.
