What is Jesus trying to teach his disciples? Jesus has given authority over all demons and diseases to the disciples. He sent them to preach the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught them, not to depend man. You have been called by Jesus and He will take care of all your needs. This message, Jesus wants to teach to His disciples.

By allowing twelve extra baskets of bread, what might have been Jesus` subtle message to the twelve tribes of Israel? Jesus is more than sufficient for all our needs. He is the God yesterday, today and for ever. Jesus is a living God. Everything is possible with God. From this passage we can learn that God is sufficient for the needs of His children.
