Because it marked the end of belief that they can reach the God through priests only. Thereafter, people started believing that everybody would have the right to go direct to the Almighty God through Jesus. Why were fulfillment of prophecies important? "note: Jesus predicted his death and resurrection? "...saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again...". There are also many accounts in the old testament describing the death and resurrection of the Messiah hundreds to thousands of years before the event.

How does The tender/respectful care of Jesus`s body given by Joseph of Arimathaea make you feel? This act by Joseph of Arimathaea makes me feel comfortable and satisfied that he believed in Jesus and was willing to take a risk to take the body.
