How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love. God has given us his commandments which spell out how He wishes us to conduct ourselves. However as ordinary humans we often have difficulty living as He would wish. Recognising that He has promised his forgiveness of our trespasses if we ask Him for forgiveness fosters the bond of love for "Someone" who understands the 'human' failings along with the desire to live within the norms that God has given for our life here on earth.
