To pay penalty for sin he had to go through by himself what man(Adam) failed. That is why he had to go through separation from His father-God. Why did Jesus choose Matthew, a known taxgatherer and a despised man, to be His disciple? Matthew immediately followed Jesus and other tax collectors followed Matthew.Jesus could read the spirit and thaughts of others.He could also read the thaughts of the Pharisees and also knew that they say one thing and do others.
