Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that He is about to die?

He was reminding them of the prophecies of Isaiah.Like it was true that he was born of a Virgin, which they must have believed, so should they dare believing in his oncoming death.He was not about to bring a revelotion that would have freed the Jews, like the Pharisees thought, but a different kind of freedom from other chains: via the force of the Holy Spirit he was about to free also those Pharisees tied by the chains of the letter and the respect of outward legalistic prescriptions that yet blinded them to the fact that Isaiah had to be taken to the letter. inluding the death of Jesus. And his resurrection. How did the Pharisees of the time avccount for that?

Why did Jesus choose to obtain the stater from a fish rather than from a more conventional source of money?

The tax collectors were Roman and they were taxing the Jews. Where could they find the coins to give to the collectors, who as pointed out here did not take from their own children, but from the children of the Jews? Trusting in God the Father of all and carrying on with their previous means of support: fishing fish as well as men following the new call. And God will make them find not just the fishe needed for survival but also that little extra to give the tax collectors. Trust in the Lord is so to say that day lesson topic.
