Why do you think Jesus looked up to heaven and then sighed before the healing?
I am very tempted to say that he seems uncertain about the miracle and he is praying the Father to help him giving him the Holy Spirit. Certainly without the Holy Spirit afterwards passed on to the 12 disciples and then on to the future generations, no miracle could be performed. Said which, it was his human heart aching for the man affected by both and also it is not maybe directly linked to the healing but to his concern that again far too many witnesses..would they keep the secret till the appointed time? Frustration a mild fruistration: again the more he says to maintain the secret, the louder it is proclaimed.

Healing and multiplying food did not convice the religious leaders. What sign would have convinced you of Jesus as God?
You shall not tempt God thy Lord. Yet they keep asking for a sign. Only the sign of Jonah will be given. If i recollect well, he was spared when after the plant growing over his head was spared from being cut. If I am merciful to that plant why should I not be all the more so with you  who are my son? Mercy is a great sign. The leaders are not willing to believe and yet they knew so much. The querstion could be rephrased, considering your state at the time of the first encounter with Jesus, what made you recognise him? with whom in the Bible would you identify better? could be a combo of different people. I was not raised Catholic, but at school every year we made the Presepe (aged 14 i did not really knwo what the Eucharist really meant, not enough nurturing at home to fully draw from the Cathechesis but something special twiched in my womb when i partook of it for the first time) and too little i remembred of what Fathers said to us in class. Mainly reading and telling of the parables we were kids. Though they left a big 'black mark' in my memory. Took me it was after many many many years that i recognised adult Jesus in them. It was a process that took time...i think i was the blind man for many years who 'heard' the voice of God, was faithful believed but did not attend and was i did not have most of the teachings, who then recognised the voice. When healed guess Mary at Jesus feet fits me...and i haven't moved since.Still waiting for the miracle of being made into a perfect Martha. lovingly and respectfully said :)

Faith allowed power to flow from Jesus even without his initiative. What is faith?
Again on the multituded question. Jesus real presnece touches ecveryone more or less indirectly. But his Body is for many not all. Yes potentially all but isnt'it that if we say all rather than many we may induce the wrong belief that i am saved whatever i may do and also if i do not make myself cleansed before recieving via the Confession of the failings off the Commandments to the one who via Apostolic Succession has been gifted with the power to loose me from the throngs of sin?if we are all saved automatically, what happens of free will after Jesus chosen  accepted death and Resurrection?
