Why did Jesus challenge the disciples to "give them (5000 people) something to eat" before multiplying the food? Man does not live of bread alone...the disciples are thinking of material hunger whereas Jesus wants them to wonder how they can feed them with the Real Bread. Five loaves and a couple of fish...on the cross one seed died and multiplyed to feed the many via the Real Presence. The Pentecostal miracle. When Jesus again was really present.He wants the disciple to fully focus on the matter before annointying their hands with the Holy Spirit.

In the middle of extreme busyness, Jesus departed to a mountain to pray. What do you learn from Jesus` example? That if even Jesus the Son of God needed to recharge his spiritual batteries to best accomplish his mission, should we not all the more who are mere humans albeit children of the same Father? Our Father who art in Heaven...
