Why do you think Jesus chose to appear to the disciples in this way?

They are to become fishermen of men...its a real miracle to alert them about his identity. What strikes more, without sounding disrespectful, is not the overpowering power of the gesture but the gentle irony in which he conveys the message. Also a hint as to how to approach and attract in the Net of the Father new fish?Gentel warm truly close to the souls the Father is calling. No big outward showy shows like in charismatic denominations but a very personal invting touch. An invitation that 'hopelessly' catches.My two cents. :)

What is the blessing that comes to those who have not seen and yet believe?

The most powerfully illuminating illumining Lamp:Jesus shining in the heart that gives special sensory powers i maen not in the sense of extrasensorial or magic but in the sense of heightened spiritual sensitivity...a special feel for the presence of the lovebeloved One.

What do you think the disciples felt when they saw the tomb was empty?

Confused but they believe at least Peter does. Actually now i can see why asking why did Jesus choose to reveal himself to Mary first.Was he waiting hiding hoping, knowing their hearts knowing that they would have likely gone. Peter saw that the head cloth had been rolled up and that only Jesus could have done that. Mary ahd seen the stone had been moved and had run to ask for testimonies oor better for help thinking taht his precious body had been stolen. Had not seen the linnens were stil tehre. The otehr disciple is afraid and does not dare going in. Was he one of those who had witnessed the Transfiguration when they saw how the Resurrection would have taken place? they go away though and she stays by the tomb.True taht she stays closest to where the body was showing in a way more attachment to the physical than teh Spirit needing to see that body she had anointed. But when the disciples saw him on the way to Emmaus walking and talking they did not recognise his body or his voice even and Thomas had to touch his rib. Mary mistakes him for the gardener in the dazzlement but then she belives when he says do not be afraid..aha the voice of the shepard and the lost sheep :) (also the blind man recognises Jesus from the voice when meeting him outside teh temple)
