God the Father is the Almighty but we have to accept recognise him as the sent Savior like John, the last of the prophets, had announced in the desert wehre there was no human being who could testimony. And he was swearing the Truth having 'only' God as testimony and potentially most of the Jewish society against him (excluding Mary. Joseph, Elisabeth, Zaccheus and i suppose Simeon was dead now but he too had aknowledged Jesus in the desert and without physically seeing Him - the Spirit spoke through him).The opposite to the Pharisees he trusts and fears the Lord and, he bears a most precious fruit, courage and knowleddge. Also faith. Thye were afraid and lacked in Faith. They would not dare saying the Truth aginast some of the Jewish population then and they did not dare answering lacking thus in Faith in God.
