Why was Zaccheaus so joyful when Jesus asked to stay at his house?

Surprised by joy...totally unexpected to see the Lord walking in his house. The house of a sinner and he was not ready. The soul in a mess...but the Lord does not see what state the tent is in. If you welcome him with an open heart...the awereness of your insufficiency and shortcomings and the willingness to make amend also when like with Abraham he needs to awaken your attention like that gentle slap that gets the baby breathing.

ACCORDING TO THE MENTALITY OF THE JEWS JESUS DID BAD BY GOING TO STAY IN THE HOUSE OF A SINNER AND EAT WITH HIM. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF US WHO DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE OUR LIVES?

ZACCHEUS WAS HAPPY TO RECEIVE JESUS IN HIS HOUSE, BECAUSE HE HAD SO MANY THINGS TO TELL JESUS, BUT HE COULD EVEN BE ABLE TO SEE HIM PASSING BY. I THNK THAT IT WAS NOT ZACCHEUS WHO WANTED TO SEE JESUS, BUT JESUS WANTED TO SEE ZACCHEUS AND CHANGE IS HEART. SO ALSO, WHEN WE PRAY JESUS, IT IS HE WHO WANTS TO COME INTO OUR HEARTS AND CHANGE THEM. LET US ALLOW HIM ALAYS TO ENTER INTO OUR HEART. MANY OF US DO NOT ALLOWE HIM TO ENTER BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO CHANGE OUR HEAT. WE WANT TO CONINUE IN OUR SINS. A GOOD CONFESSION OF OUR SINS WOULD BE GOOD IN ORDER TO OBTAIN GOD'S MERCY. WE ARE ALL ZACCHEUS AND NEED GOS'S HEALING. LET US NOT SEND AWAY JESUS FROM OUR HEART BY COMMITING SO MANY SINS.
