Why did not the Father let the cup pass and spare Jesus the pain of the crucifiction?
Because there would have been no salvation for humanity His beloved children. Also points to the obeyance of Jesus: if YOU let it pass away, that is if it is not Thy will, but i humbly and sdeadfastly follow the path you set for me. He would have not opened the gates of heaven that way.Or better cleansed us of our impurities and showed us the way. Through his purification and with the same strenghtening example At first it strikes that the disciples are more afraid in a way. And not they fall asleep thinking no it wont ahppen Jesus dying ''although that word is never mentioned i read somewhere''. The Word Resurrection should be chiming in their ears already. But Jesus knew all that was to happen. Yet he si sorrowful and feels lonely. Ther disbelief? their not being with him in that night?his in agony and yet the words he pronounces are teachings and encouragement. Get on your knees and pray and ask for Stamina against temptations. So uplifting. I will keep his words in mind whilst taking the Eucharist today.:''

Also on Gospel Mt 5:17-19 belated reflections
The two all encompassing laws Love God above all else and love your neighbours as you love yourself. We were created in God`s image and how does Jesus fullfill the Law? sacrificing himself for love for us. But not only. Having all of us in front of his eyes on that cross obeying to the Father. As clear as those 10 Commandments. He is not entrapped in the legalistic trappings that only think of the external comformity to the Law or let that override the awareness that we are in reality adhering to the Spirit ''wrongly afraid that we are falling short of something'' and that make us slaves and confused by the tangles of scrupolosity which risks make us trip on the path ''how often do we think too much and see sinfulness where there isn`t...becoming unsure and afraid of not being able to win over real temptaions not trusting enough in the Lord`s constant presence His love constantly feeding us...:''''. His soul is serene in the battle and does not give in to the demons tempting him the night before the suffering. He is rooted in Love and obeyance. Jesus...the humble&firm banner of victory. The icon is a hymn of triumph. a showing forth, a memorial inscribed for those who have fought and conquered, humbling the demons and putting them to flight. John of Damascus ''675-749'' Conform to Jesus...Jesus brought up by Mary... In the book, Calls from the Message of Fatima, in chapter 13, entitled The Call to devotion to the Immaculate Heart, Sister Lucia wrote: To establish in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary means to bring people to a full consecration through conversion, self-dedication, intimate esteem, veneration and love. Thus it is in this spirit of consecration and conversion that God wishes to establish in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary ''p.133''

Love weight
Jesus challenge to the disciples: 5000...500...5...4...3...2...Feed the world with only 1 Loaf...:'' Keeping our lamps filled with the oil of Faith and rolling up our sleeves like Father said shortly ago at Mass. Helping the needy. With that enthusiasm that he puts in the homily that energetic delivery that somehow makes you `forget` the words and spring into action like the 10 Virgins ready to trim the lamps.
