What does the darnel seed represent and how is this darnel weed sown? This passage has puzzled me for a long long long time. My impatience to help the ones i love...with the other tree parables...the darnel being sown by the envious devil who wants to pull towrad himself as many souls as possible. But we can win them back to the Lord with patience. To me these two parables are extremely meaningful and what i learnt is that the mustard seed is very small and yet with time it produces a big strong tree. With time. We gradually grow into that strong tree fighting ''confession and help of Christ in the matter of the Father'' to fight the weeds the darnels that risk suffucating our roots an obtsructing our growth. When it comes to others, like the Archibishop of Florence said today in an interview on TV, we are called as lay people to be strong testimonies of the Faith. Leaders he says that awaken the others. We have to be careful though not to intervene too early or with too much energy or impatience as we risk to damage the good potential. God created everyone in His likeness and they need to see themsleves as such. Let the angels of the Lord separate at the right time the bad from the good as we risk uprooting the good too and damage the tree the souls of the ones we love.
