On the washing of the feet

Yesterday during Holy Thursday Mass i was very deeply struck by the detail that Jesus takes off his robes and wears only a cloth and that he uses that to dry the disciples` feet. Firts shiver at the thought of him giving all that he had, a simple cloth that he uses to dry their feet and that up until then was covering protecting him ''a man can understand me properly''. Then a greater Shiver. It meant it talked utter vulnerability. In Italian we say nudo come un verme. Naked like a worm. That psalm 21 came to mind our vulnerability and sense of shame, Adam in the garden and Eve too, and our sense of unworthiness. And the empowering sense of Jesus fully human facing that horrible death on the cross and the beating before ''for those who can there are some very powerful descriptiosn of what Jesus went through for us''. The strenght of the spirit. And also david came to mind dancing joyously a dance of life with only anephod round the loins. It brings tears of sorrows thinking of what Jesus physically endured and also of joy and encouragement at the thought of the vivifying strenght that the Holy Spirit gives David`s `life joy` and Jesus endurance and love. All sprouting from Faith in the Father in whose arms he as going to be soon. May this Holy Friday be a renewing one with the fullness of God`s Mercy. Every Sunday every Eucharist is Divine Mercy Sunday...Adam Eve...condemend to labours - work and in delivery the same word - and when we are born too we are naked. Born and `reborn` with that special scent that a new baby has...

Why do only some choose to accept Jesus and others oppose Him and His followers?

What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops. Don`t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Some many are afraid of proclaiming the Kingdom and facing all the persecutions etc. Some hold onto Jesus as their rock and follow their leader with Faith. Ready to face whatever they must face. For the Love of Jesus and so of the Lord. Love leads them on. Whatever happens they are ready to face the raging storms should they come.
