Did he choose it? wasn`t it that she was the first one to run to the tomb to cry but also deep down in the heart certain that he was there?prepared in her heart by his words to witness the greatest miracle.

ON CALVARY, THE CROSS AND THE RESURRECTION:THE TWO MARY
Speaking as a woman torn between the two. Why did Jesus appears to Mary Magdalen and not one of the male disciples? Why Mary Magdalene and not Mary his mother? The Ascension and the Conception - two different opposite movements of the Holy Spirit`s journey - from Heaven to Earth from Earth to Heaven - both involving the Transfiguration: Spirit into flesh and then flesh into Spirit. A gradual one like on the hill. From Heaven into Mary`s womb who - the first Christian? - carried literally physically the Gospel made flesh for all the world to partake....Blessed are though amongst women the others said and she replied blessed are the wombs that will welcome him / the Word and make him bear fruit carrying him like I did around the world. Allowing others to partake of His Word, Example and Sacrifice- making it bear fruit like Mary welcomed the Holy Spirit carrying the palm of peace of freedom from the chains of sin in the beak like the dove and now Mary Magdalene who again obeys and rushes on - first time she does that - to announce the Event that gives full truthfulness to all that has happened before. Carrying on his mother`s call - young Mary and elderly Mary Magdalene taking care and responsibility for the Word and before the `flesh` - hosting him with Martha and Lazarus in the house but Mary was the one who had the best part, sitting at his feet and taking fully in the message - and differently from the disciples she very likely already `knew` and accepted the physical loss gate to the Resurrection that would have redeemed humanity. More than others attached to the flesh because of her past lifestyle ''from which she had fully repented preaknolwedging and soothing with her tears his calvary and cross aknowledging it already its meaning- her own cross in hear heart''. Sacrificing herself like he did ''like Saint Francis and Saint Claire'' to carry the Message of Hope on the Cross to the world. LIKE a faithful selfsacrificing spouse / closest friend and disciple. ''Mary Magdalene the new Eve with Jesus the new Adam resisting the holy and yet to be fought temptations of the flesh calling to a heartly life of spousal happiness?''. She too adopted his mission with a full yes and kept faithful to the end joining their crosses to his and contributing to the redemption of humanity with their purifying tears becoming one with his blood ''and soothing the fire of his anguishing pain - feeling loved to the point of total obedience in such a heartbreaking experience''. Her tears too coredeeming - springing from the fire of the pain coming from the strong call to utter obedience in drinking that cup, they both suffered the cross fully with Jesus fully obeying to the Fathers will. A physical cross for them too as well as emotional - it must have been literally hearbreaking....But they knew that that could not be stopped. Deus Caritas Est...through all that partake of the Sacrifice. PS I am no theologician and you can say that all this is pure fiction. I understand. But as a woman the feelings aren`t. God Bless.

Be your Yes a Yes
HOW DO YOU THINK PETER FELT AFTER HIS DISCUSSION WITH JESUS? He felt grieved because he feels that Jesus does not seem to trust him any longer and keeps repeating the question. Also surprised. How is it possible that you don`t know it? you know everything. Then Jesus stresses the importance of actually caring for those in need: ask P to put himself in place of the old and needy sheep. The emphasis is on action: three times P actually denies him and three times he has to pronounce again his loyalty. Be your yes a yes. Sure P remembered - Jesus knows it but wants him to be fully aware of whast he is undertaking. Imprinting the seal of loyalty by letting Peter be cast in deep self reflection. Only then he makes him aware of the death that is awaiting for him when he gives his yes: are you prepared to die for your flock like I did? The new strenghtened Peter is reborn in the pangs of guilt. He is tangibly shown that Mercy that Jesus is entrusting him to ditrubute to the beloved flock. The first Pope - and foreshadowed the first Sacrament of Reconciliation? The other disciple the most beloved one follows them without Jesus asking him explicitly...He was the most concerned about the betrayal of the Lord. Peter seems to be annoyed by his presence but Jesus lets him follow him: does Peter feel scrutinised and under check by the one who seems to be the favorite - Jesus has just asked him to take his place. Seems like J is both challenging his faithfulness and establishing a bond in the building of the Community...that verse `am I my brother`s keeper?` comes to mind. The other disciple won`t die: the more is entrusted the more one is asked to give. Jesus challenges Peter into following him, the other disciple immeadetely does. His spontaneous yes - Peter`s painfully meditated `pulled out` yes [like in a delivery by the oebstetrician] seems to be the more poweful confirmation that Jesus needs from the one chosen to lead the whole flock after his death. WHY DO YOU THINK JESUS CHOSE TO APPEAR TO THE DISCIPLES IN THIS WAY? Because had he done the miraculous fishing himself inviting them to do the same afterwards, the disciples would have said: you can do it beacuse you are the Son of God. This way he is showing his intercessory powers with the Father and the power of Faith and Hope that potentially resides in them and that has to be made bloom. They don`t know that it is him until afterwards, he`s just another man the son of Joseph and Mary a simple human like any of them - he is passing them on the Holy Spirit power without them knowing so that they can discover it in their own hands already - that is the greatest catch - the Potential to fish. Again the first one to recognsie him is the most beloved disciple and then Peter who is looking at the shore though. The others are too busy bringing on the fish. Peter covers him with his coat and then - a passionate gutsy man of action - throws hismelf in the water desperately trying to get to the others and announce the news. But the great miraculous catch has already shouted the news to them.WHAT IS THE BLESSING THAT COMES TO THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN AND YET BELIEVE?Its that blind faith like the blind man who already believes in the heart. It stems from trusting backwards in the prophets rooting in Tradition. Thomas answered him, My Lord and my God! The words we pronounce during the Eucharist blessings beating our heart.. We haven`t seen but we trust in the Sacred Scripture and the Tradition. Like Mary Magdalen, Mary and Martha, Simeon, John the Baptist and Mary and then Joseph. They had utter Faith and without signs they went forth in obeying the commands doing the Father`s will without the greatest sign of all - for some - the Resurrection - humanly impossible. To them rooted in the pillars of the Commandments in following the God given path the greatest strenght. Of coures also the doubting Thomas are given the possibility to touch the truth - Jesus wounded body his rib ''Adam...'' and believe: they are poor in Spirit belief and are given the greatest gift Faith. This i`d say is the greatest gift and them the most blessed. Or very specially blessed in a differenrt way. Like when women say you blessed because you carried the Lord in the womb - she says that those who take in the words are the truly blessed. And the greater the debt the greater the blessing. The greatest the renewal. Mary was already made a perfect vessel by the Lord. We all have cracks that need sealing with the renewal of our Covenant of Friendship with the Lord. Through Jesus - enthroned in Mary`s womb - reenthroned in our hearts purified by the Reconciliation. WHY DID JESUS USE THE GREETING PEACE BE WITH YOU? WAS THERE SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE IN THIS GREETING? Making friends with Jesus means aknowledging our trespasses of the Lord`s Word realliagning ourselves with our faithful fellow humans - God gave us the Commandments as guiding stars for our human life and so when we accept the pact it`s also a pact between each of us and the other - realsing when and how we thread over their steps. Becoming one again with them. We stretch again our hand resealing that Pact. It`s a sign that promises peaceful living with each other in love and resepct. Words like in the case of Peter must be followed by action - knowing that should we fall - and even Peter did - God`s arm is ready to stretch out and lift us up. That gives us peace and reassurance to our souls. Peace with the others and in ourselves. WHAT TYPE OF CIRCUMSTANCES ARE THERE TODAY THAT MIGHT LEAD ONE TO BE A DISCIPLE OF JESUS BUT IN SECRET, LIKE JOSEPH OF ARIMATEA Arimathea? Fear of losing earthly power and or riches by going agaisnt what at times is the major counter Christ current. He was though trying to defend him in a more fruitful way: be wsie as a snake and innocent like a dove. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE DISCIPLES FELT WHEN THEY SAW THE TOMB WAS EMPTY? Dazzled. Terrified. Saddened. Confused. All in one heart stopping thrust. WHEN JESUS SAID, IT IS FINISHED, WHAT DID IT REFER TO? THAT IS, WHAT WAS FINISHED? The cup has been drunk till the last drop ''of my blood''. Also maybe at long last this physical suffering is over - humanity is redeemed and I shall soon be in my Father`s arms. The gretest paina nd the greatest releif in one pang. WHY DO YOU THINK JESUS CHOSE, , AFTER HE ROSE TO SHOW hIMSELF FIRST TO Mary Magdalene? Cause she is a sinner and her tears of repentance have already aknowledge his mercy the power of forgiveness that he entrusted the dsiciples with. She is ready to rejoice and although in deep pain something binds her to the spot. She `knows` that he is there and waits in Hope. Against all appeareances she doesn`t turn away in despair like the disciples. Her Hope and Faith are stronger than theirs. Because like Mary the Mother treasured his words and him in a way and to a depth that the other disciples - who love him though otherwise they would not be so downcast - didn`t. He had been them for such along time going from place to place in his public ministry. She always waited for him faithfully in the house and .....never rushed out. Utter trust and confidence in his return. For what we are about to recieve may the Lord make us truly thankful...''btw isn`t it here the greatest proof that the resurrection is also in the body? Jesus asking - pleading - Mary not to touch him - like he was afraid that that temptation would be too much for hima nd stop him from reaching where he was not yet - faithfully and painfully like Mary the Mother, Mary Magdalen says her yes''.
