What does it mean to have God as your Father?
To me, having God as your Father means to pray for fogiveness of sins, do my best to repent, and ask Jesus into my heart. It also means to confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead. Then we are saved, and are the children of God.

What does it mean to have God as your Father?
To have God as your Father means to Love Jesus and believe in him as your Lord and Savior. Which causes us to hear the Word of God and keep it in our heart and obey his commandments. Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. Jesus is Lord! Thank You! Heavenly Father.

What does it mean to have God as your Father?

With God as are father, we as children of God look up to him as are support, for a fathers love is unconditional, and as Jesus is are Elder Brother we have a perfect role model of God's love and compassion for us, and he was provided for us as one we should emulate from are Father God.

You see there is a quickening of our spirit by the Spirit of God our Father, so that we become blessed, pervaded and filled with the presence of God Himself in us. The Word of God says that “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose MIND is stayed on thee” {Isaiah 26:3}. Why? “Because he trusteth in thee.” This is the knowledge that we receive when our mind rest in God in a real perfect trust.

The Word of God also says that our FLESH shall rejoice, not our mind, but our very flesh for the presence of God is a living presence, not only in our spirit or our mind, but also in our flesh, so that God is known in all departments of our life. Thus we know God our Father in our spirit, our mind and our flesh.

God almighty is trying to obtain some decent association for Himself. By His grace He is endeavoring to have us grow up in His knowledge and likeness to that stature where as sons and daughters of God we will comprehend something of His love, of His nature, of His power, of His purpose, and be big enough to give back to God what a son or daughter should give to a great Father- the reverence, the love, the affection that comes from the understanding of the nobleness and greatness of His purpose.

Romans 8:9 tells you that the Christian has the Spirit of God dwelling in him. Is there any time in your life as a Christian when you cannot live with Christ reigning as Lord of your life?

The Children of the Devil

Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven't come of myself, but he sent me. Why don't you understand my speech? Because you can't hear my word. You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn't stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you don't believe me. Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don't hear, because you are not of God."
