The material says that women were considered to be second class citizens during Jesus` time. If Jesus revered and accepted women so openly, why has the church continued to suppress and discriminate against women? Or, did followers of Jesus promote more freedom for women, as evidenced by the juxtoposition of how women are treated now by Western culture vs. the still restrictive treatment of women in the Middle East? Forgiveness & Love
Jesus said ``he who is forgiven little, loves little``. This could then mean that only someone who screws up alot can really love alot. If you don`t do anything to be forgiven for, you won`t be forgiven much, and therefore can`t love as much? Hmmm. Interesting sort of backwards thought.
