How does being forgiven increase ones love for God?

One who recognizes how tremendously he has offended God and also recognizes that there is nothing he can do to change this offense, rewind the clock, or take back the sin - that person will be ever more joyful and his love for God will be profound to learn that God Himself will remove the guilt with no requirement from the sinner. One who sees very little sin in himself and hardly any offense toward God will be less loving toward a God he perceives as 'overlooking' small stuff.

How do Jesus` words make you feel?

Hopeful, excited, unworthy, alive, joyful, determined to honor Him by sinning less and loving more...

What is the Kingdom of God?

The Kingdom of God is made manifest anywhere that His Will is carried out and His NAME is proclaimed. Anywhere that God is King. The Kingdom of God is in Heaven and also in a prison cell. the Kingdom is not visible to human eyes, but palpable by the Spirit and heard in the heart of believers. We see evidence of the Kingdom in the lives of believers around us.

When we become born again, we become part of the Kingdom and will dwell there forever. It is not the place we go when we die. We already dwell there. It is up to us to recognize that and work in that authority.

"According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?"

It means that I am part of His family. I am welcomed as His child. I share in His inheritance and bear His Name, as well as His stamp of approval. He will go to bat for me against anyone who might rise against me just like my earthly father would. It means that no matter what I do or where I go, God will never stop calling for me to come home. He watches over my every move and guides every step (if I let Him).

His love is not like any other love. It never makes a mistake and is a pure love that cannot offend or grow distant. By loving me, He allows me to share this love with others.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?

Easy (for me) -

Why God requires faith?

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?

In all honesty, I would probably be nervous and speechless, and admitting that is so convicting.  Obviously I need to revamp my prayer habits so my answer is what I want it to be . . . a continuation of our daily discussions.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?  When a believer lovingly obeys Christ's commandments, the believer is choosing to trust and outwardly express their true love for Him.  The believer is "experiencing God".  He rewards such passion by revealing even more of His goodness to the believer which in turn strengthens the relational bond.

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?

I think it is "New" because, unlike the previous commandments, it is a not a law that governs specific actions e.g.. "Thou shalt not steal". It is a much broader directive from which the right or wrong of a specific action can be inferred. In the context of the day, it is a departure (hence "New") from the more legalistic nature of scripture. If you did something that would be counter to an expression of love for another, than it would be wrong. it makes it clear and simple how we are to live our lives according to God's will.

It is another step in Jesus freeing us from salvation by deed or law and granting us salvation by grace.

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

God's forgiveness is not what motivates me to be a Christian, it's just a necessity for the relationship. Beyond that I don't think too much about it.

 Neither does God.

What is the Kingdom of God?

I think along more metaphysical lines.

The Kingdom of God is his intent. Whenever we act according to his wishes for us, we further his kingdom.  When we do not, we draw further away from him and thus his kingdom.

To be in God Kingdom is to be in communion with him.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?

Yes.

The most valuable, clearly ... but.

What does that mean for me who is not lowly. This is hard and what I struggle with all the time becuase I haven't figure it out. I work very hard so that my family and I can live in Los Gatos and enjoy a fair number of material comforts. I have education, entertainment, and a lot of joy in my life.

In Matthew 4:18-20

18As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20At once they left their nets and followed him.

Should I give up most of what and become lowly to follow Jesus? If the answer were "Yes", would I?

Define "Compassion"?
Compassion is not just the ability to empathise, but also the willingness to extend oneself for the sake of another.  Compassion requires action.
