| "Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) |
I firmly believe Jesus knew that He would die at the hands of those who would falsely accuse Him. Nevertheless, he chose to go forward with what He knew was right and according to God's plan. Instead of running from the religious leaders and not cleansing the temple, Jesus chose to do these things. He chose to face His oncoming death, because He knew it was part of God's plan to save humanity. Jesus, out of amazing love, submitted Himself to the earthly authorities that arrested, mocked, tortured, and killed Him. He died for us and took on our sin-punishment, so that He could defeat death on our behalf and give us hope and eternal life!By: Joe Beckler Category: Timeline - Final 1 Week |
