Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
Because when Jesus was on earth he was fully human and experienced everything like we would have if we had gone through the same thing.

Just as when we are separated from God, we suffer physically, mentally and spiritually...Jesus, as God's son in human form, suffered in the same way to pay the penalty for our sins.

I agree with what William Titus has already written below. Jesus' experience of both physical pain and spiritual separation was due to His being fully human and fully God. Sin is a devastating thing. It affects us holistically. We are affected both spiritually and physically. Jesus took on our punishment when He took on our sin. This was physical and spiritual.

JESUS PENALTY FOR SIN WAS PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL BECAUSE JESUS CAME WITH A PHYSICAL BODY AS OTHER HUMAN BEING THAT'S WHY IT WAS PHYSICAL SUFFERING ON THE CROSS

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
I firmly believe Jesus knew that He would die at the hands of those who would falsely accuse Him. Nevertheless, he chose to go forward with what He knew was right and according to God's plan. Instead of running from the religious leaders and not cleansing the temple, Jesus chose to do these things. He chose to face His oncoming death, because He knew it was part of God's plan to save humanity. Jesus, out of amazing love, submitted Himself to the earthly authorities that arrested, mocked, tortured, and killed Him. He died for us and took on our sin-punishment, so that He could defeat death on our behalf and give us hope and eternal life!

Was Jesus trying to incite his death
No Jesus was not trying to do that. He came so we would have everlasting life, and to show us what we must do. He wanted the leader to know what they was doing was wrong the house of God is for prayers and worship not selling goods, nor collecting money

Jesus was not trying to incite his own death...he just realized that his sacrifice was required of him to save us. Obviously, the ultimate sacrifice of all time...done freely out of love for mankind.

Jesus was not trying to incite his death rather jesus came so that we may have enternal life and also to make it know to the leader that temple was made for prayers not for exchange of good

Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?
I believe that Jesus accomplished all purposes, because He did great things but he said that greater things are accomplished through us in His name.
