Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Through the extent of his physical and emotional pain Jesus gave us an understanding of how sinful we are. Through the physical pain he demonstrates the pain we deserve as sinners as he acts as a sacrifice for our sins. Through emotional pain he describes what the separation with God will be like.

The wages of sin is death. When man sinned, God told him that he shall surely die. Instead of man now dying, Jesus took our place and therefore had to die. By His stripes we are healed. This means for our healing to take place, both physical and spiritual, he had to go through the suffering he went through.

An Awesome King

For me, Jesus is just AWESOME!He left His heavenly throne to put on the guise of a servant. He became like us in order to save us. He gave His life so we can have life and have it in abundance. He is my inspiration and rolemodel. He made it possible for us to come boldly to the throne, through His Blood. Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, forever and ever!

Jesus christ had proven on several occassions that he had a strong spirit.I think with the physical torture which he suffered he proved beyond resonable doubt how important it was to go to Heaven or meet God.And that no amount of physical pain should tear us away from God or our faith.

I think Jesus christ had to persevere physical pain because he had been spiritually tested several occassions and excelled.With the physical and spiritual pain he proved beyond any reasonable doubt how important (GOD)Heaven is.

Because He came in the likeness or form of man and all have sin and come short of the Glory of God. The sin of man which He has On him makes Him unclean and a sinner, because physically He was suffering with the various humillation from the soldiers and others, And spiritually He was suffering with the SINS of the whole world.

Jesus underwent physical and emotional pain becuse we all put our hell on Him. He was born human on earth and had to undergo all human traits. If He did not suffer as humans do, we will not feel and appreciate what He went through on the way to the cross and on that cross.His sacrifice for us was a horrid death full of agony.

As the Son of God, he had to feel the physical pain as what was described in the Old Testament, he had to fulfill the prophesies. Jesus had to feel the pain and the spiritual separation to take away all our sins. This was his sacrifice to mankind, to bring us closer to God and to show us how much he loves us.
