 | Why do we choose to be Depressed? |
Depression is not a personal weakness or a condition that can be willed or wished away. According to the DSM-IV, major depressive disorder (or "depression") is diagnosed when five or more of the following symptoms of depression are present for most of the day, nearly every day for at least 2 weeks. At least one of the symptoms must be either persistent sad or "empty" feelings or loss of interest in activities. Constant sadness Irritability Hopelessness Trouble sleeping Low energy or fatigue Feeling worthless or guilty for no reason Significant weight change Difficulty concentrating Loss of interest in favorite activities. Whatever is your reason to feel depressed, please talk to someone. When it seems like no one understand talk to God, he'l understand. Trust me. I've been there and done that. Talk Therapy is best the proven treatment for depression. When you talk to someone, they get to hear your story and eventually they feel your pain, making it easier for you (when someone else also feels your pain). There's always someone with a more difficult situation than you, and sometimes talking is all they can do. So the next time you feel a headache coming on, or stress filling you uo inside, talk. | Define strenght. |
Strenght. Is love, is appreciation, is never ending, is belief, is holding on, is moving on. Strenght is you, is me, is God, its the deaf man that visits the doctor everyday without cash in search of help. Is the girl being abused every night, and is still there in the morning. Is Me, is you. Strenght is being able to cope with any situation, and still be there at the end of it. Strenght is you scolding me with the most nastiest words each day, and i still feed you at night. Strenght is the mother who tries to take away her childs pain, by crying to. Strenght is you and me. Strenght is the unmeasureable times you turned me down, but i keep on asking. Strenght is the many times i gave you and remained without. Strenght was given to us by God.  | "Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) |
Jesus was not inciting his death. God had a plan for salvation way back. He knew the penalty for sin and it required a perfect sacrifice. Jesus was the only way. As John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son." And then Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through me." And Jesus says again, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies." The plan was already in place. God knew it would happen. Therefore, Jesus didn't have to force the plan God had laid out. His anger was righteous and in these events He continued to show and teach his disciples who God is. By: Danielle Costa
