In order for sin to be paid for, the offender must die, not just physically, but also spiritually, cut off from God. Jesus had to die. He wanted to save mankind, and his death was the only way to do it. He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. He was pierced for our sins, crushed for our wrongdoings, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Thank you Jesus!

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

All the purpose that Jesus came to undertake were accomplished when he laid his life for mankind and through his resurrection and rising to heaven. Some of the purpose accomplished includes

  • Saving the world
  • restoring the glory of God to the world
  • restoring the lost relation between God and Mankind

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)

No, Jesus never tried to incite the Jews about his death. As we read from the scripture Mark 14: 36-38: "Abba, Father He said " For you everything is possible. Take this cup away from me. But let it be as you not I, would have it". He .........The spirit is willing enough, but human nature is weak". from the scripture it was true that Jesus was not incite his death but he had come into this world so that will of the father who send him may be done so that the Love God had for mankind may be accomplished i.e. Forgiveness of sins so that we may have eternal life together with Our Father in heaven. This was to be accomplished through the death of our Lord Jesus Christ through his blood, suffering and death on the cross saved our lifes for those who belived in Him. For he also said He is the way and truth and whoever believes in him will have eternal life. As He is the Same as the Father who send him, So by dying he restored our life, therefore through His death we are saved.

No this was the will of God for Jesus to die for the sins of humanity. Without the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ we could of never been saved from sin and the devil. What a great love to lay down one's life for friends. Yes we are friends of God, if you receive him into your life.

jesus  know what will happen  to his life ....  but he never complain because He wants us to be saved so he gave his life... all the tortured and emotional distress he suffered but he did not defend himself ... because  for God so loved the world that He gave HIS  only begotten son  for the salvation of the  people on the world
